As Above, So Below
These works mark a transition to the more invisible and chtonic aspects of nature. The weeds, the roots, mycellium and dead remains. From my garden I learned that everyting that happens underneath the surface of the earth is reflected by the plants, insects and flowers. The garden as we know and see it is a reflection of the soil and everyting that happens in the dark. As above, so below. The choice for natural unprepared linen is a consicous descision about the ground from which to grow my paintings.
