eefje goos & pleun moons
june 2021 - ongoing
Eefje Goos (1990) is a painter and glass artist who stages her stilllives by arranging mainly dead and withered flowers. Her focused and refined way of painting those flowers shows a both intuitive and direct depiction of a specific abstract vanitas. During the painting process the colors, forms and lines arise on and from the canvas like dying flowers in the wild: a tribute to life and its transience.
In starting this experimental collaboration we both seek a new way of seeing. What inspires me most about Eefje’s work is the lightness and transparency of her painting. Currently we are exchanging works on paper to continue working on to start te dialogue. The examples on this page show some works where we have painted over the other’s work.
